Field Trip to Southwest Research Institute!

We have been approved to go to Southwest Research next week! We are really excited about this opportunity and see real engineering work.

The details are below:
Date: Friday, November 16th
Time: We have to arrive there at 2:30 pm, and will leave the Institute around 5 pm.

We are currently working on carpooling from here (UTSA main campus) to ease the access and get there easily.

NOTE: There is a maximum of 20 students of capacity.

ASME Senior Section Seminar "How to become a Professional Engineer"

ASME would like to invite all engineers young and seasoned to come and
discuss the process of becoming a professional engineer. Early career
engineers can learn how to navigate through the process of becoming a PE
while the more seasoned engineers can share their knowledge and wisdom of
being PEs.  Light oer d’oeuvres will be served at the event.

Southwest Research Institute Open House: December 2, 2011

To continue our successful partnership with UTSA to recruit top talent, Southwest Researching Institute will be holding a “Computer and Engineering” Open House at our main headquarters in San Antonio.  The event is scheduled for Friday, December 2nd, from 3-7 pm and is targeting specific local and Texas area-based universities and colleges.


Our Open House is a new outreach effort to students and alumni who are seeking full-time employment in the engineering field.  The set-up will be similar to what you would find at a Career Fair, just smaller in scale.  In addition, instead of meeting directly with our team of recruiters, the students will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with many of our Hiring Managers!



·        Graduating Seniors (December, May or August) majoring in:  Electrical Engineering*, Computer Engineering*, Software Engineering*, Computer Science*, and Mechanical Engineering

·        Seeking full-time employment

·        Have at least a 3.0 GPA

·        *Eligible for a US Security Clearance
